Printing/emailing first time giver letter (Requires the purchase of the Letters/Emails/Text Messages module)
When a donor makes their first donation, it is a good idea to show your gratitude and appreciation by sending them a thank you letter. Follow these steps:
1. Click on the Mailings icon and choose View Letters... (To send an email, click on the Mailings icon and choose View Emails...)
2. Where it says Letter to View or Email to View, choose 1st donation.
3. Give the date range in which you are looking for the first donation. You should be doing these letters every week so the date range would be from 6 days ago to today's date.
4. Put a checkmark on all categories.
5. Just above the From box select those who gave. (If you have the pledge module you would select those who gave and pledged and those who gave but did not pledge.
6. Click OK.
To change the wording of the letter or email, click on the Mailings icon and choose Setup Letters... or Setup Emails...
